2.3 million
The rate of child malnutrition is one of the highest in the world, and the nutrition situation continues to deteriorate. A recent survey showed that almost one-third of families have gaps in their diets and hardly ever consume foods like pulses, vegetables, fruit, dairy products, or meat. Malnutrition rates among women and children in Yemen remain among the highest in the world, with 2.3 million children under 5 requiring treatment for acute malnutrition.

By donating to the School Meals, you will be ensuring that vulnerable Yemeni children will receive nutritious school meals for the academic year.
Our objective is to provide good-quality facilities for 265 underprivileged children, to ensure that their surroundings do not limit their capabilities and ultimately benefit over 1,000 students in Yemen.
Why give with HADI Relief?
- Contribute to ensuring the right to access free education services.
- Increase the school enrollment and mitigate the drop-outs, as when children know they’ll receive a meal at school every day, it keeps them in the classroom.
- Reduce the rate of malnutrition among children. Students who stay in school longer and have proper nutrition throughout that time are more likely to find employment and be financially stable over their lifetimes. Girls who stay in school longer will be healthier than those who don’t and will in turn, have healthier children at a later age.
- Using local producers can increase dietary diversity, improve freshness, and spur local economies.
